Seasonal shifts and the bodies natural rhythms are related. When transitioning from winter to spring, nature and humanity unite in the process of waking up and stepping out of a place of stagnancy and quiet and toward one of growth and renewal.
The ascending and active nature of spring, will be reflected in this 90minute yoga practice.
This will be a challenging, dynamic and grounding practice that will leave you with a sense of satisfaction and achievement, and a spring in your step.
You will gently warm up before rising up into a dynamic flowing yang sequence to build heat in your body (Tapas) to burn off impurities.
Twists to stimulate digestion, detoxify and cleanse the body are included in the flow sequence.
Cool down with some grounding yin postures to provide balance and re-centre.
Spring is the season associated with the Wood element in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yin postures presented will enhance the flow of energy along the meridians that support Wood energy, Liver and Gallbladder.
