AUTOGENIC YOGA combines TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing & Resilience Exercises) with yoga poses (asana) and breathing exercises (pranayama) enhanced by essential oils.

TRE® uses an innovative series of exercises and poses to safely initiate the body’s natural shaking response. This natural tremoring reflex releases and unwinds tension patterns held deep in muscles and fascia.

Rippling out from the body’s core, these innate, autogenic tremors free up and reintegrate any blocked energy or ‘charge’ to relax your autonomic nervous system. The way your organism shakes out long-held tension patterns is unique to you. It’s like activating your ‘inner body worker’ to bring the resolution of charged states.

This revolutionary technique has the added benefits of increasing your inner sense of peace and calm – and building resilience. Being able to access these movements ‘at will’ builds capacity for self-regulation and generates post-traumatic growth. As part of your ongoing self-care, this natural regenerator for the nervous system improves your overall sense of wellbeing.

In our ‘time out’ together, we’ll be using Young Living Pure Essential Oils (along with simple exercises and tips for self-regulation in daily life) to provide additional support before, during and after the movement sequences.

FACILITATORS

Jennifer Moalem is a registered Counsellor, Practitioner of Resonance Repatterning® (USA), and Global Certified TRE® Facilitator. A student of Energy and Transpersonal Psychology for more than 30 years, she is passionate about sharing with others the skills she’s learned and evolved in her own healing journey. Jennifer integrates autogenic tremoring, essential oils and more; empowering her clients to create ongoing and sustainable breakthroughs in all areas of their lives, from career, relationships, finances and health.

Anne Stringer is a regular practitioner of yoga both on and off the mat and has been teaching yoga for 11 years. As the new Owner of Botannix, her classes focus on the breath, grounding to the earth, connecting the ‘feeling’ subtle body with the physical body, building strength and resilience whilst maintaining a calm mind. She uses mindfulness as part of creating balance, peace and harmony in daily life. Anne believes that the ‘real’ yoga is what happens off the mat – how we relate to others and ourselves in this crazy, busy world, what we allow in and what we choose to let go.

The poses/exercises will be a mix of standing, kneeling and lying on your mat, so please bring the following for comfort::

yoga mat, small pillow, towel, water bottle, pen & notepad, wear layers of warm clothing such as leggings, singlet, T-shirt, sweatshirt, loose pants, socks.
