S01-YA-SCHOOL-RYS-200Botannix Yoga Teacher Training in Sydney is an internationally recognised yoga teacher training program (Yoga Alliance – RYS 200) and includes over 200 hours of training, including lectures, workshops, practices, video and audio recordings, readings and assignments, and plenty of opportunity for students to gain hands-on teaching experience. Our program runs in a small group format (max. 10 students per group) ensuring each individual gets the attention and mentorship they require to feel confident in taking the next steps towards becoming an inspiring and effective yoga teacher.

Founded by Dr Jeff Miller BA(Hons) PhD (Psychology) E-RYT(500), Botannix Yoga offers a integrated approach to yoga incorporating hatha yoga practices (asana, pranayama, bhanda) with jnana (scriptural studies), dhyana (meditation), bhakti (devotion) and nada (sacred sound), emphasising physical health, psychological well-being and spiritual growth as the main goals of yogic practices. This program gives students a broad understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of yoga.

Over the past 8 years Jeff has been developing and evolving an integrated and cohesive yoga method and teacher training program that provides one of the most comprehensive foundations in both practical and theoretical aspects of yoga that is available in Australia. The training is designed to thoroughly explore the philosophy and physiology of yoga as well as the practical aspects of teaching asana, pranayama and meditation. The course is deliberately eclectic in nature giving students a broad understanding of the many different aspects of yoga practice. Students from all yogic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The primary intention of this training program is to establish the professional skills necessary to safely, knowledgeably and effectively lead individual and group yoga practices, allowing trainees to feel confident in taking the next steps towards becoming an inspiring yoga teacher. The second, equally relevant intention is to provide the opportunity for trainees to delve more deeply into their own practice and progress towards a greater sense of personal connection, happiness and purpose in their own lives.
